2006 | summertime movie series in the cave. |
Cascade Cavern is named after a 10 m high waterfall, which is a highlight on the tour. The cave is spacious with large passages and huge caverns, it is the largest of more than 200 caves in the area.
The tour includes 225 steps but is easy walking. Tickets are available at the Welcome Center in the Park, but the cave is outside the Park, more than five kilometers from the Welcome center. Please purchase tickets early enough to allow 10 minutes drive to the cave.
A new highlight of this cave is a Movie Night, or better a summertime movie series, movies shown inside the cave. The huge chamber can fit about 175 to 200 people. Visitors should bring their own seats, lawn chairs or blankets. Concerning the low temperature, warm clothes are essential, really, we mean it.
