These are the most accessible of the Vancouver Island Caves. Horne Lake has three caves open for exploration and attracts 50,000 visitors annually. For the truly adventurous, there are five hour of caving instruction using ropes and harness in the second section of Riverbend Cave. If you have ever wanted to rappel down seven storeys, then these are the caves to visit. You must be 19 or older to participate in the caving instruction.
