History

27-JUN-1972 Elbe Sandstone Protected Landscape Area created.

Description

Rájecké Skály is a group of reddish sandstone rocks with gorges and small caves. For tourists this rocks are a less populated alternative nearby GorgeTiské Stěny, especially during days with a high number of visitors. There is no entrance fee and no well developed trail. But the rocks are accessible from Rajec, from the parking lot at the church. Another access is at the southern end of the village, where a forest road branches off from the main road. After about 200 m on the forest road a trail at the right side goes up to the rocks+. We also recommend the use of a navi with an OpenStreetMap, which actually lists any rock by name and shows all trails.
