Bintakan Cave is a rather small cave, some texts call it a "three room cave", whatever that means. It is reached on a short hike, about 20 minutes uphill from the road. There is a trail and lately a sign was placed at the road. The location we have given is the trailhead at the road, not the cave entrance. The mouth of the cave is overlooking the Ibulao River towards south.
This cave and nearby Nahtoban Cave or Nah-toban Cave, close to the Nahtoban Resort, are listed on numerous websites, but actual facts are hard to find. All the texts are quite similar stating the same unhelpful nonsense. It seems someone who had never been there wrote a marketing text which was then copied by all others. That’s quite annoying, and as a result we have to tell you: if you actually want to see caves omit these caves. This site is a riddle and intended for those who like finding the site, like the act of searching.
In other words, both caves are not worth a visit, there are much better caves on the Philippines, although they are mentioned on so many websites.
