History

Description

Silop Caves is a cave trecking tour in Barangay Silop, hence the name. It seems there are some 20 wild caves and some 7 are open to cave trekking tours. The fee includes helmet, headlamp and gloves. The caves have nice stalactites and stalagmites. They are also home to numerous animals like bats, spiders, snakes, birds, and various insects. But it seems they have nuo real names, they are just numbered.

This group of caves is highly praised and advertised, yet neither opening times nor prices are given. It’s simply crawling around in caves. If you want to go caving, you can, there are thousands of caving clubs all over the world, and you can do some research at the same time. But this way of abusing the poor caves as sports equipment is not nice. We have therefore created this page to strongly discourage you from visiting them. Visit a real show cave instead.
