Description

Hang Chiều (Chieu Cave) is a sort of cave ruin, a huge portal and entrance room which is used as a Buddhist temple. We classified it as a semi-wild cave, as it has a temple and stairs inside, but no electric light, which is not necessary, and is freely accessible. The shelter is huge and completely lighted by daylight, a lamp is not necessary, except if you want to look into crevices. This cave is really easy to visit, except for one thing: it is located high up in the mountain, and to reach it, it is necessary to climb a really long straight staircase in the heat and humidity. To survive the 1,200 steps in the humid tropical forest, we strongly recommend good shoes, enough water, sun protection, a hat, and moskito repellent. After rain the trail will be slippery.
